We used to make a survey on our official Facebook about Mac app function on different users from different countries. The question is what kind of App you would prefer: All-in-one app or single function app. And we got lots of feedback from our users on this survey. From the results, we found that almost half of the respondents would like their application to be single in function and another 50% prefers installing all-in-one applications.

As users explain that single function apps are simple and clean, and the most important point is that less space they will take. Users who support all-in-one applications express that to open various kinds of applications at the same time makes them being afraid of system crash, and it is also very convenient and easy to operate.

Different people got different favor. And both of the two point holders have their own reasonable reasons. If there was any application mixing the demands of both the two parties?

Furthermore, the finding feature is absolute a shining point in Magican File, it has faster finding speed, and more accurate results than other common file finders. Still it is very easy to operate, just typing the element related to the need-to-find file, for instance, file name, file path, file size and file format, these could be exact or blurry, Magican File will list all related files out for you to get the desired one.

Then comes to the feature of compression, this is very useful while backing up files. To make your disk run effectively, you need to manage your files in time, backup the old (currently not being used but important files) by time range to help you find older files more quickly. Differences between Magican File and Magican Document

After releasing ToolBox in version 0.9.80, we have received many users’ inquiry about the differences between Magican File and Magican Document. Then I’d like to write those differences for you to easily separate these two apps.

Although they are both used on files and document, they have different operate directions. Taking Magican File for an example, the highlights of this app is file finder. After clicking the “search” button, the searching window will pop-up and then users could find any file at will. Just selecting the related element which belongs to the file you want to find out, then all files with the element will be listed out in the following sheet.

Still to make finding process faster for most of our users, Magican File optimizes the finding process and makes it faster. Furthermore, users could right-click the file in the list and open the file directly or just delete the file completely.

For Magican Document, it would list all files in category to help users manage file easily. For instance, all iWork files, PDF files, Microsoft Office files and Open Office files could be auto listed in category as default, and users could add smart folder (virtual) in “Users” and customize their files. Then files in different path could be gathered in one folder with same format, same name or same created day, and the element that gather files could be multiple choose. But the file path would not be changed.

Then when you want to manage your file in category and make it easy to find, you could use Magican Document. And if you forget the file path and could not find the file in Magican Document, then you could consider using Magican File to help you quickly find the desired file.

Find Magican tools from the new module-ToolBox

Magican is updated to v 0.9.80. The new version has added a new module- ToolBox.


In this version, the Document was replaced by the new module ToolBox. And the Document is renamed as Magican Document which could be downloaded and installed from Magican.


Many Mac users still use Magican File and Magican Rest, it seems that Mac users would like to choose small tools for their Mac. So Magican adds a new module and lists out a series of tools from Magican software. Currently users can find three tools from ToolBox, including Magican File, Magican Rest and Magican Document (Document). Magican users can freely download and use them directly from Magican. Users can open each tool from Magican without finding the icon to open. If you don't want to use these small tools, you can easily uninstall them by clicking the icon "uninstall", and the tools will be removed completely.


Before the new version was released, some of the tools are incompatible with Mac OS X Lion. But the new version has resolved this problem, and all of the Magican series software work well with Mac. Furthermore, in further updates, more small tools will be added into ToolBox and make Magican a most welcomed app.

For instance, once your maximum broadband is equal to your general used broadband that means you need to pay more to upgrade your broadband. While you have enough broadband, you still need to monitor network, because some apps may run in the background.

2. Remove web history at regular time.

To make viewing pages quickly, Safari will automatically saves the contents of web page into its memory cache. Then users can get a more quick speed at next time's reading. Then the more pages you visit, the more memory caches on safari created to your Mac. After longtime accumulating, thousands of cache files for different webs are created, and the safari's running speed is slowed down. To make a better speed, Macintosh users need to delete Safari's memory cache.

Clean up mess to speed up slow Mac

Once Mac runs slowly, we need to pick up the point to solve the slow issue. As a matter of fact, the point could be multiple or even massive.
